The market is picking up, sale prices are up 6.9% from last month! In this post, I will compare last month’s numbers with May of 2013’s numbers.
Real Estate Activity for May 2014 vs May 2013
In May of 2014, there were 190 homes sold in Sarnia, Ontario. This is an increase of 29 homes, as there were 161 homes sold in May of 2013, an increase of 18% from last year.
The average list price for homes that sold in May of 2013 was $212,861.
The average list price for homes that sold in May of 2014 was $229,422.
The average sale price for homes that sold in Mayof 2013 was $204,468
The average sale price for homes that sold in Mayof 2014 was $219,581
An increase of 7.4% from 2013
The Average days on the market for homes that closed in May 2013 was 51 days
The Average days on the market for homes that closed in May 2014 was 53 days
Homes are selling 3.9% faster than they were in 2013.
