Point Edward Real Estate Report
By Ryan GervaisThe village of Point Edward is adjacent to Sarnia and is surrounded by water on multiple sides. Point Edward’s population is around 2,000 people; most residents are passionate about their little village outside the big city of Sarnia. Point Edward residents are proud of their beautiful parks and trails and slower pace of life. Point Edward had many Condos and water front rentals available as well that are a short walk to Canatara Park and many beaches along Lake Huron.
From a Point Edward real estate perspective house prices can be a bit more expensive than Sarnia but they come with a lower tax bill due to the proximity and tax base of the Bluewater Bridge and Point Edward Charity Casino. When people move into the Point they tend to stay and not move. This is why when good houses come onto the market they sell quicker than comparable Sarnia homes.
Point Edward students will go to Bridgeview Public School which is a very nice school and goes from Kindergarden to Grade 8. Bridgeview also has one on the top special needs classroom facilities in the County. Bridgeview has a small community feel to it even though it’s only a couple minutes from the City of Sarnia.
